./run_BiggSky.sh /usr/local/MATLAB/MATLAB_Runtime/R2024b/

Installation Notes

The initial BiggSky install requires the free Matlab Compiler Runtime (MCR) to be installed which is large, but is automatic (for Win/Mac) and only needs to be done once.

If you have a computer with at least 8GB of RAM it should work fine.  16 GB is recommended, more if you have images > 16 MP. Quick rule of thumb, 1 GB of memory per 1 MP of image size.

On Windows BiggSky can use a nVidia GPU with at least Compute Capability 3.5 (and 3GB of RAM) for faster computing.

Planetary images don’t need as much memory since they are normally small (< 1 MP or 1024×1024 pixels).
